Who we are

This website is operated by Fast Brake Mechanical & Machining, a mechanical and machining workshop at Unit 1/22 Jay Gee Court, Nerang QLD 4211. You can reach us on 0449 860 753 or at fastbrakemachining@gmail.com.

What we collect

If you send a booking request through this site, we collect the details you type into that form: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, your vehicle's make, model and year, the service you have asked about, a preferred date, and anything you write in the message field.

We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not collect them.

Why we collect it

We use those details for one purpose: to contact you about the booking or enquiry you sent, and to carry out the work if you go ahead. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who else sees it

Booking requests are delivered to us through a form-handling service and stored so we can respond to them. Beyond that, we only share your information where we genuinely need to in order to do the work (for example ordering a part for your vehicle), or where the law requires it.

Google Maps

Our contact and home pages embed a Google map so you can find the workshop. When that map loads, Google may collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy. If you would rather it did not, our address is on the page as plain text and you can look it up however you prefer.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own, and it does not run analytics that profile you across other sites. The embedded Google map may set cookies as described above.

Keeping it and getting it back

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to service your vehicle, meet our record-keeping obligations, and deal with any question that comes up later about work we did.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us on 0449 860 753 or fastbrakemachining@gmail.com and we will deal with it.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
